The Cosmos Adventure - News

July 29, 2001

I am sad to say one of our crew has decided that cruising on a sailboat is not for him. John announced that he would not be continuing on to the Marquises with us, but instead will do some touring in the Galapagos and perhaps on the Ecuador mainland, before returning to the USA. John was a nice addition to the crew and we will miss him.

Several people expressed an interest and intention to join the crew on a short to medium term basis if offered. If they are still interested in joining, please send an email to wcx9872@pinoak.com with your preferred dates and times and where you would join. The more flexible you are, the more likely we will be able to accommodate you.

I believe that before I left home, I sent the itinerary to those who were interested. It has not changed much since then. The next place a person could join would be the Marquises, followed by Tahiti, etc. We are slightly behind schedule, but we might make it up on the next passage with expected favorable winds, and we have a significant time on anchorage schedule in Tahiti.

If I get several requests, I will put together a reasonable schedule and reply with a plan.

Captain Joe
