We have been sailing close hauled to the wind for about one week. Numerous challenges, but none beyond the crew's capacity so far. Desperately looking forward to still waters of following seas. Beating to windward is hard on the boat and hard on the crew, although both are holding up well. Yesterday, the chef gave us a real treat. He made pizza with scratch dough in six-foot seas. Amazing! Imagine making pizza in your kitchen with the floor rising and falling 6 feet every 3 or 4 seconds and slamming to a stop on many of the downfalls. The chef prevailed and the pizza was great. Still have caught no fish even though the lures have been in the water for many hours. We will keep trying.
